INCLUDED EXCURSIONS
LLANGOLLEN - Drive over the spectacular Horseshoe Pass to Llangollen for a nostalgic train ride on the Llangollen Railway. Next, we take a ride on the ‘Stream in the Sky’ – the Llangollen Canal – gently gliding along the country’s biggest navigable aqueduct.
LIVERPOOL - Travel to the historic Albert Dock in Liverpool. Here you can explore the interesting craft shops and exhibitions, visit the Beatles Story; take in the Tate Gallery or the Merseyside Maritime Museum (admissions not included). We enjoy a cruise on the River Mersey Ferries, and later visit the new Sunlight Vision museum, in the garden village of Port Sunlight.
WELSHPOOL & BALA - Travelling through Oswestry we reach Welshpool, where we join the Welshpool and Llanfair Light Railway for an unforgettable eight mile journey through the beautiful mid-Wales countryside to Llanfair Caereinion. We continue to Dolgellau and then to Bala Lake and Llanuwchllyn. Here we join the Bala Lake Railway for a lovely ride along the lakeshore to Bala.
CHESTER – On our return day we spend time in the historic city of Chester before returning home during the evening
